Moving the videos from Vimeo to YouTube is somewhat time consuming so please bear with me as I make it easier to access these archives. On a health front I continue to battle and have had some setbacks. The sun still rises, the earth still spins through the cosmos...be joyful.
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/68635982022-01-09T12:57:03-05:002022-01-09T12:59:18-05:00Subscribers Update
Greetings everyone, particularly subscribers to the site. As I am not producing any new content on a regular basis, I felt it unfair to keep accepting the subscriber fees. To that end I have cancelled all paid subscriptions and made those free accounts with the same streaming and discount privileges. I am working on the Atlantis Symphony and expect to be done in another year or so. I decided to use the symphonic format for the piece(s) as getting together to work on anything as a group is nearly impossible for me given my health issues. Thank you all for your kind support, and my very best wishes to everyone.

Frank
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/66337292021-05-18T16:02:20-04:002021-05-19T15:43:45-04:00That year went fast!
I just noticed that a year has passed since updating the website. Time has no traction here. I have been fighting the cancer diligently....whatever that means. It has moved into my bones now and a few have broken leaving my left arm pretty much useless so not jamming on the keyboards very much! I am on yet another treatment now and it seems to be doing some good work on me. My spirits are still high and I still have a creative itch to scratch, so I have been putting my energy into building modular synth modules and getting that instrument up to speed. While two hands are better, I can still turn knobs with just one! Have a listen to my earliest experiments in this electronic world of chaos on the new page, Modular Synthesis. You will notice I am no longer on the Facebook or Twitter platforms. I won't support these killers of free speech and it saddens me to see so many people going along with the censorship and agenda manipulation. This will not end well. I have been talking regularly with Andrew Colyer and we have some plans for a project, so check back next year! Just kidding....it should not be that long for another update. All my best to you,

The Zeitgeist Project has been very well received and again I want to thank everyone who helped with and supported that effort. I have been working on the Atlantis project here at the studio...but I have little to share yet. Also it has been my great pleasure to be working on some backing tracks for Steve Mullaney and some fantastic Nashville musicians, which he will be releasing sometime yet to be determined. My buddy Jeff Stike has also asked me to do a few background tracks for his projects, so I am managing to stay quite busy. I am still on the clinical trial at UMMC...being a good patient and fighting a very good fight! My warmest regards to all of you. Stay safe and listen to music!

I am truly overwhelmed with the wonderful response the project is receiving. It is a testament to the fantastic musicians who worked so hard to create the music. I will never be able to properly thank them, and all the supporters and new fans that are discovering the Zeitgeist project. We are now starting to see some reviews come in, and I have been doing some radio interviews. There is a new page on the website, Zeitgeist Pres/Reviews if anyone wants to follow our progress in the media. Sales have been starting to roll in as well, and I have noticed that it is very expensive to ship to locations outside the US, so I am looking for retailers who might want to sell the cd in other countries. Any suggestions will be welcomed in this regard as I attempt to expand availability. Finally, the physical cd has been made "unavailable" on FrankWyattMusic.com until the tenth of December, 2019 as the web store is sorting some kind of bug in their shipping software. Digital downloads are still working fine, and I apologize for anyone wanting to order this weekend...this one is out of my hands!

Thanks again for everything!

All the Kickstarter backers will be done today, and the website pre-orders by tomorrow. This is a moment long awaited as I can fulfill the promise I made to the supporters of Zeitgeist. The studio is a part of the greater musical endeavor after all, so it makes more sense to me.

In other news, the official press release for Zeitgeist has been issued! Let's hope the word gets out and the Zeitgeist is listened to everywhere.

What started out as a Pedal Giant Animals album has become Frank Wyatt & Friends, a collection of performances with my musical peers spanning decades. Please know how excited I am to deliver this to you, and that I cannot express with words how grateful I am for all the support and patience from the supporters. The physical CD will be delivered in a few weeks when I get them from DiscMakers. I have made the CD available as a "pre-order" that will include the downloadable version. I hope you enjoy the music! Let me know what you think, and again, thank you all so very much.

Now starting the next project...no completion date yet...
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/58837622019-09-06T22:10:23-04:002019-09-07T12:59:51-04:00Zeitgeist tracking is complete!
Mike Beck just finished recording the last percussion tracks on the last song today at rippleFX Studio. I should have the files delivered to After7 Studio for the mix sometime next week, and we will be finished with the music. It has been a long and winding path to this point! Michael Phipps is almost done with the cover art as well, and we have started designing the CD package...so, it looks like the Zeitgeist Project will be completed very soon. Hearing Mike's percussion parts took me back to Happy The Man days in the band's warehouse basement , Harrisonburg, VA. Wow...nearly half a century has passed...I want a time machine!

I can't express the gratitude I have for all the patience you have shown while waiting for this project to be completed! I am writing the lyrics now, so I expect Stan will be singing them in a couple weeks...but I still don't want to make any promises about the release date. It's just too easy for things to go awry. I just found another project I started about two decades ago and decided I would put it on the site. I had started roughing out a solo project called The Physics of the Heart about twenty years ago. I did sketches of the first four tracks in Logic, using some midi instruments and my saxophones. In a search for a bass part I lost recently, I stumbled upon these four forgotten pieces and decided to add them here in my "archive". They are a bit rough, but do capture the essence of the project, which I was creating from impressions of my daughters as they became young women, children no more. I hope you enjoy these tracks, and again, thank you all so much for the support.

"Leaving" and "Twelve Jumps" bring the completed track count to six. The Perelandra symphony has also been completely recorded and the hundreds of midi tracks are transferred to audio files now, and the three ending movements are in the mix process. That leaves just one track, "Fred's Song", to be completed to finish up the Zeitgeist project CD. In health news, I am now at the University of Maryland Medical Center in yet another clinical trial. I am keeping my spirits high and my fingers crossed for a win in this long fight. Stay tuned! Peace be with you all,

Frank
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/57106232019-04-07T11:53:06-04:002019-04-07T11:53:06-04:00"Twelve Jumps" and "The Green Lady" mixed
Two more tunes are completed (just a few tweaks left at After 7 Studios) Peter Princiotto is coming back to Crafty Hands to assist in finishing up the arranging on the last movements of Perelandra mid April. I am at the University of Maryland Medical Center in a new clinical trial and have been acclimating to the meds for a month or so and it has kept me away from the keyboards. I will post the two new mixes to backstage as soon as I can get up to After 7 for a visit. Peace be with you all.

Frank
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/54921662018-10-30T10:12:19-04:002018-10-30T10:39:28-04:00"The Approach" and "To Venus" are mixed.
Two more tracks for the Zeitgeist project are "in the can" as Bill Brasso, Frank and Bob Richardson tweaked the final mixes Monday at After 7 Studios near Harrisburg, PA. The Approach musicians are Andrew Colyer, Joe Bergamini, Pete Princiotto and David Hughes playing with Frank. To Venus is the first movement of the symphonic composition Perelandra, and is entirely built from sample libraries performed by Frank. The project creeps ever onward toward completion! These tracks, along with the others completed, are available for streaming to the Backstage members: Backstage For information on subscribing please visit the subscription page
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/54322482018-09-17T16:21:38-04:002019-10-04T21:07:25-04:00Second track mixed, two more ready
Well there is some good progress being made on the project now. The Eleventh Hour has been mixed and is available for Backstage members to stream, and two more tracks have been sent to Robert at After Seven Studios to start mixing. Andrew Colyer just came in to the studio and his tracks on The Approach finalized that song. We had a blast hanging out this weekend with Bill Brasso and David Hughes joining the sessions. If you are a Backstage Member please send an email with your thoughts on the new track. We love your feedback.
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/53356772018-07-07T18:17:33-04:002018-07-07T18:38:27-04:00July~web work continues
I have replaced the very full studio computer's SSD operating system drive at last and it can again buffer the huge sample libraries being used in the Perelandra piece. The Zeitgeist is now moving again. Also there are some new pages added to the website. I am still working on the Crafty Hands Studio implementation, but quite a few videos have been moved here now. Check out the Kit and Coco live in 1981 video! It is great! Also the few Happy The Man videos I can locate are now on the site. The "Backstage" material is slowly being migrated over as well. Subscribers will be given a password when that area is completed.

I found an old CD project I did called A Certain Whisper which has some interesting themes on it. The original ideas for Turning My Head and Il Quinto Mare are found in a couple of the tracks. It is a very ambient collection of tonal experiments, not much like the prog rock I usually perform. I put it on the site anyway in the interest of documenting these early solo efforts. Peace and happiness to all of you.

There are a few copies of each of the albums left, and digital versions have been placed on the Oblivion Sun album pages. Listening to these CDs as I worked on archiving them here really took me back to when we were recording those projects. The absolute best times are when you are in a room with like minded musicians creating. I hope everyone enjoys the tracks as much as I do. Happy Father's Day!
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/52984352018-06-15T18:58:46-04:002018-06-15T18:58:46-04:00Original Pedal Giant Animals CD now available
I have uploaded digital files for the First Pedal Giant Animals CD to the site, and there are fifty physical copies left for sale. I doubt this will ever be reprinted so if you want a copy of the CD it would be a good time to grab one. These are the songs Stan and I wrote over the years that were not compatible with, or there wasn't enough time to record, with Happy The Man or Oblivion Sun. You can preview the tracks here as well. Pedal Giant Animals
Frank Wyatt Musictag:frankwyattmusic.com,2005:Post/52974712018-06-15T11:20:57-04:002018-06-15T20:40:08-04:00Second track is completed
The second Zeitgeist project track, Eleventh Hour, is now mixed. Bob has finished his Rosfest duties for the year and is back on the project full speed ahead. Next up are Twelve Jumps (waiting for a guitar solo), and The Approach. Andrew Colyer is working on his final revisions to the synth parts for The Approach which will complete the tracking for that composition. I am having another hard drive issue on the studio computer. The SSD has filled up and I am going to have to migrate it to a larger system drive. The tech just keeps on challenging my gear! On the health front my battle continues. I am at Johns Hopkins now in another experimental trial. My attitude is great and I believe I will win eventually! Thanks to everyone for supporting the project for so long. I will be trying to move all my websites into this one location over the next month or so. The subscribers at Crafty Hands Studio Backstage are the only way things are staying afloat online and I am looking at ways to perhaps add a Patreon support option on this new site to help out. Also in a bit of related news, The Muse Awakens has now been released under our own (Happy The Man) ownership and I have forty copies of the new version for sale. I will put them in the store here and see how it works out. Cost is $15.00 plus shipping.
